Freedom Mobile has added a new Boxing Week offer to its prepaid plan suite.

The new option is a six-month plan for $145 that includes 25GB/mo of 4G LTE data (speeds capped at 100Mbps) along with unlimited nationwide talk and text. The price includes a $29 credit for Boxing Week and normally costs $174. Notably, this is the same $174 six-month plan Freedom launched in October, just with a discount.

$145 over six months works out to a little more than $24/mo instead of the regular $29/mo cost breakdown. Put another way, the Boxing Week deal effectively gives you one month free. Regardless, it’s a pretty solid deal overall, especially when compared to other options.

For example, Freedom’s closest plans include the $29/10GB 5G plan, which has significantly less monthly data compared to the six-month option, although it’s faster and includes Canada/U.S./Mexico roaming. Another comparable option is the $20/3GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico plan, which, again, has considerably less data.

As for multi-year options, all of Freedom’s other plans are annual ones, including $99/year talk, $119/year with 15GB/year of 4G data, and $149/year 30GB/year of 4G data. None of these quite stack up either, and don’t even get me started on other providers.

Anyway, if you’re interested in Freedom’s six-month plan, you may want to act quickly, as it’s not clear how long the deal will last. You can learn more about it here.
