Here’s everything shown off during September’s PlayStation State of Play

PlayStation held its latest State of Play presentation on Tuesday, September 24th, offering looks at more than 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 titles.

Astro Bot (PS5) free DLC — TBA 2024

Five new speedrun levels and 10 new bots, including those from Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2, are coming to Astro Bot for free later this year.

The Midnight Walk (PS5/PS VR2) — TBA

A new horror game from the creators of Lost in Random is in the works.

Hell is Us (PS5) — TBA 2025

A new action-RPG Soulslike with a spooky atmosphere.

Metro Awakening (PS VR2) — November 7th, 2024

A new entry in the popular Russian post-apocalyptic shooter series built exclusively for VR.

Archeage Chronicles (PS5) — TBA 2025

A new fantasy online RPG set 50 years after Archeage.

Palworld (PS5) — out today

The popular “Pokémon with guns” game has finally made its way to PlayStation.

Lunar Remastered Collection (PS4 and PS5) — TBA spring 2025

Classic RPGs Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue are remastered for a new age.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge updates — later today

The popular beat ’em up game from Montreal’s Tribute Games is getting new DLC today.

Keanu Reeves as Shadow Movie Pack DLC for Sonic x Shadow Generations — December 12th

To coincide with this December’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Canada’s own Keanu Reeves has reprised his role as Shadow from the movie in a DLC for the Sonic x Shadow Generations game.

Fantasian Neo Dimension (PS4/PS5) release date confirmation — December 5th, 2024

The former Apple Arcade-exclusive RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi got a PlayStation release date. (It will also launch on other consoles and PC.)

Dragon Age: The Veilguard (PS5) new trailer — October 31st, 2024

BioWare Edmonton showed off gameplay of a new dragon boss fight from its highly-anticipated RPG.

Alan Wake II: The Lakehouse DLC (PS5) — TBA October

The first trailer for the second DLC expansion to last year’s acclaimed survival horror game, Remedy’s Alan Wake II, was shown.

Hitman: World of Assassination (PS VR2) — TBA December

PS VR2 versions of IO Interactive’s beloved modern Hitman trilogy are sneaking their way onto VR later this year.

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered (PS4/PS5) — December 10th

The classic dark fantasy action-adventure games are getting a remaster in celebration their 25th anniversary.

Fear the Spotlight (PS4/PS5) — October 22nd, 2024

A PS1-inspired survival horror indie game is coming right on time for Halloween.

Towers of Aghasba (PS5) — early access November 2024

This action-adventure builder game is set in a fantasy world and challenges players to rebuild civilization in a sustainable way.

Fortnite (PS4/PS5) — splitscreen Lego Fortnite, DualSense controller

Last year’s popular Lego Fortnite game mode within Fortnite is getting split-screen, while a Fortnite-themed DualSense controller will become available for pre-order on October 3rd.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins (PS5) — January 17th, 2025

The latest entry in the long-running hack-and-slash action series just got a release date.

Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5) — Feburary 28th, 2025

Capcom dropped a new trailer for its highly-anticipated new action monster hunting game confirming a release date.

Lego Horizon Adventures (PS4/PS5)

This family-friendly reimagining of Horizon Zero Dawn is coming on November 14th, 2024. It should also be noted the game is also coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5/PC) — October 31st, 2024

As was leaked, a remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn — a 2017 PS4 game that already looked great — is coming to PS5 and PC.

Stellar Blade x Nier Automata DLC — TBA 2024

Stellar Blade is officially crossing over with Nier Automata, the sexy action game that inspired it.

PlayStation Plus updates

WWE 2K24 (PS4/PS5), EA Motive’s 2023 Dead Space remake (PS5) and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! (PS4/PS5) are October’s PS Plus Essential games. They’ll be available from October 1st to November 4th.

Additionally, original PlayStation classics Dino Crisis and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain are coming to PS Plus Premium at some point in the future.

Finally, The Last of Us Part 1 (PS Plus Extra/Premium) is coming on September 26th in celebration of “The Last of Us Day.”

PlayStation Chroma Edition

Three new PS5 cover colours were revealed: Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo and Chroma Teal.

PS5 Pro enhanced games sizzle reel — launching November 7th, 2024

Footage from several PS5 Pro-enhanced games was shown, including Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake EaterFinal Fantasy VII RebirthStellar Blade and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Ghost of Yotei (PS5) — TBA 2025

Sucker Punch revealed a sequel to its acclaimed 2020 samurai action game, Ghost of Tsushima, called Ghost of Yotei, featuring a completely new protagonist and time period.

 


That’s everything from the new presentation. For context, the last State of Play was held in May and featured Astro Bot, the Silent Hill 2 remake, Monster Hunter WildsConcord and Marvel Rivals, among other titles.
