Fido’s early Boxing Week offers are here with a disappointing mix of deals that are slightly better or worse than Black Friday. On the phone side, almost everything is worse or, at best, the same as Black Friday. Plans are slightly better overall. Read on for all the details.

Update Dec. 20, 2024 at 10:32am ET: Fido has updated its Boxing Week offers with more discounted phones. Below are the highlights:

Deals as of Dec. 16:

We’ve gathered Fido’s best Boxing Week deals on phones so far and included the highlights below. However, like with Black Friday, we expect prices will get better as we close in on Boxing Day, so it might be worth holding out for better offers.

So far, most of Fido’s Boxing Week deals are worse than or the same as Black Friday offers, with only the Galaxy S24 so far having a lower price.

Plans

Update Dec. 17, 2024 at 10:22am ET: Fido tweaked its plans slightly. It launched an official $39/100GB 4G plan with the same seven-country calling package as before to replace the 80GB plan that has a 20GB data bonus and several discounts to get it to $39/100GB. However, Fido hasn’t removed the 80GB plan — as of writing, it’s still listed on Fido’s website as a $49/80GB plan (after $10/mo autopay discount) with unlimited calling to seven countries. Ultimately, nothing has really changed from what’s below, it’s just presented in a new way.

Fido’s plans remain mostly unchanged as of December 16th, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see them shift as we get closer to Boxing Day. The biggest change is that prices have shifted by about $5/mo from where they were last week, with Fido’s 60GB plan getting a little cheaper and the 100GB plan getting slightly more expensive after a flash sale on the 11th.

  • $34/60GB 4G with unlimited Canada/U.S. calling (price includes $10 autopay discount).
  • $39/80GB + 20GB bonus data 4G with unlimited calling from Canada to the U.S., Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, and the U.K. (price includes $10 autopay discount and $5/mo discount).

To put these plans in perspective, Fido offered the same $34/60GB plan during Black Friday along with a $44/80GB plan with the same calling package as the current $39/100GB plan. However, Fido didn’t offer those plans during early Black Friday deals. Given the company’s early Boxing Week plans are already slightly better than the Black Friday offers, I’m not sure we’ll see these prices decrease anymore.

Still, it’s probably the safest bet to wait until Boxing Day to get the best overall plan and phone prices. For now, you can check out Fido’s plans here and phones here. Or use our plan tool to find the best offer for you across all Canadian carriers.
