Massive leak reveals upcoming changes to Samsung phones

Despite its delay, Samsung’s new One UI 7 interface is revealing itself a little more through a very complete list of upcoming new features.

If you have a smartphone Samsungyou may be looking forward to the new interface One UI 7 of the brand. Initially planned for the end of July, the beta version could finally arrive in August. To wait, here is a list of upcoming new features.

Samsung is making major changes to its interface with One UI 7

As is often the case, it is the leaker Ice Universe who shares on the social network Weibo a 16-point list (since deleted), of changes that according to him constitute the future One UI 7 interface. After having had a preview of the new quick settings menu, then some additional images of the interface, here are the new features expected compared to One UI 6.1.1:

  • New system app icons;
  • New wallpaper;
  • New control area at the bottom of the lock screen;
  • Setting shortcut icons in the left and right corners of the lock screen;
  • The shortcuts panel and the notifications panel can be separated or merged;
  • The pill located at the top left in the notification bar can control more apps;
  • New interruption animation, optimized application opening and closing animations;
  • New battery icon and charging animation;
  • New photo app interface;
  • Added 5G SMS messages;
  • New notification window and closing animation;
  • Added unlock animation;
  • New touch button and page return animation;
  • Added many desktop widgets of different sizes;
  • Added new widgets on the lock screen;
  • Adding large folders.

Some elements are known and others are new. We hope that Samsung will always offer the separation between the shortcuts panel and the notifications panel by default. Indeed, their merger could represent a significant change for One UI users, some of whom will probably not have the reflex to go into the settings to change it.

The arrival of large folders would also be great news for those who like to organize their desktop without having to scroll through their apps on multiple screens. We only have a few more weeks to wait to get our hands on the One UI 7 beta, which could arrive around August 19, although Samsung has not yet confirmed it.
