Fast food restaurant Oliver’s is setting a new standard in the restaurant experience, pioneering Australia’s first truly conversational, unscripted AI for drive-thru, named Ollie. Unlike other AI systems, Ollie offers a fully contextual, two-way interaction, making the customer experience smoother and more intuitive.
Partnering with global leader in AI products that understand you, Sodaclick, you’ll be able to use natural speech to order at Oliver’s, for an efficient drive-thru experience and fast food that tastes good on the go. Ollie is integrated with food software Prepit, to be able to list and recommend products and answer questions about ingredients, allergens and dietary preferences to customers based on nutrition information.
Launching first at Pheasant’s Nest, NSW, along one of Australia’s busiest highways, the Voice Order experience acts as a touch-free virtual assistant, accessible to those with both visual and physical impairments.
Oliver’s customers will be greeted by a sign at drive-thru that reads: ‘Ollie, our AI assistant, is in training. If you would like to speak with another staff member, please ask’.
Working as an assistant to Oliver’s team members, not a replacement for human service, Ollie can display detailed menu information, including allergens to assist customers in making informed decisions based on their dietary needs, before a member of staff is alerted.
Highlighting the exciting innovation, Oliver’s technology was featured by Google at this year’s Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world’s leading audiovisual and systems integration exhibition held in Barcelona in early 2024.
Oliver’s has exciting expansion plans for the innovation, with Ollie set to roll out on in-store kiosks. To further enhance the digital experience for their customers they have also just launched a new app.
